Create order in your everyday life with self-adhesive ferrous tape (also called iron strip). The flexible strip lets you create a suitable surface for magnets in no time – be it at home, in the office or the workshop. With magnets, you can attach notes, to-do-lists, recipes, business cards, photos, drawings or posters, to name a few.
This 25 m long and 10 mm wide ferrous strip can easily be cut to size with regular household scissors or a cutter. Mounting is very simple: Remove the blue protective film from the front and the self-adhesive backing, then press the ferrous tape firmly onto the desired surface. No need for drilling any holes. The ferrous strip is only suitable to a limited degree for outdoor applications or use in areas with high humidity (e.g. bathrooms). The tape can rust in those environments, rendering it unusable.
Please note: Ferrous tape / iron strip is a thin plastic strip containing iron particles. As a result, it is not entirely metallic, and magnets can not achieve the same adhesive force as they would on fully metallic surfaces. Therefore, only use smaller neodymium magnets on ferrous tape. Large pot magnets and neodymium magnets are not suitable for use on ferrous strips, due to their considerable weight.
The self-adhesive ferrous tape must be placed, pressed and dried on suitable surfaces. Otherwise, air may be trapped, and the tape may come undone. Please read our FAQ about self-adhesive products.
